About this event
November 16 Hike— UT Arboretum in Oak Ridge
This hike begins at the Visitor Center parking lot at the Arboretum. We will do a 4.3 mile hike loop counter clockwise and end up at the Visitor Center lot once again. Then we can do a one-mile walk up Valley Road which makes the total mileage 5.3 for the entire hike. There are several trail junctions on this hike and total elevation gain is approximately 600 feet.
The UT Arboretum hosts a multitude of public and private events from Boy Scout meetings, weddings, visitors, and hikers as ourselves. The Arboretum is a home to more than 25,000 varieties of native and exotic plants.
We will meet at Books A Million, 310 Illinois Avenue in Oak Ridge at 9:00 a.m. to carpool a short distance to the Arboretum.
