The Snowmass-Aspen area has two amazing towns with lots of possibilities when the slopes close.  A free shuttle bus connects the four mountains and the towns of Snowmass and Aspen.  There is something for everyone on this trip, from shopping to skiing on a vast variety of terrain.
       Snowmass has abundant snow and expansive terrain totaling over 3,362 acres.  The vertical rise is 4,406 feet starting from a base of 8,604 feet and rising to 12,510 feet.  There are 98 trails with the longest run 5.3 miles long.  The mountain is made up of 5% easiest/green, 48% more difficult/blue, 17% most difficult/black and 30% expert or double black.  
       Aspen Mountain – Ski the runs that hosted World Cup races or gladed powder stashes.  This is a mountain for seasoned skiers on 673 acres with 64 miles of runs.  The longest run is three miles and the vertical rise is 3,267 feet.  Aspen Mountain has no beginner runs, 48% is more difficult, 26% most difficult and 26% expert.  
       Aspen Highlands – Enjoy uncrowded slopes, great skiing and views over the valley to the snow-covered Maroon Bells.  There are 1,028 acres of skiable terrain, a vertical rise of 3,635 feet, 84 trails with longest being 3.5 miles.  There are no beginner runs, 27% more difficult/blue, 12% most difficult/black and 61% expert.
       Buttermilk is the smallest of the mountains with only 435 acres and a vertical rise of 2,030 feet.  It has 21 miles of trails with the longest 3 miles.  This is a great mountain for beginners with 35% of the slopes rated easiest, 39% more difficult, 26% most difficult and 0% expert.

Lodging is at Top of the Village Condos, a club favorite, and is located slope side, ski in/ski out, heated pool, hot tub, workout room and free WIFI. Accommodations are in 2BR/2Bath condos, withs specific bed sizes (kings, queens, twins) that can be requested, but are NOT guaranteed.  Easy and convenient free shuttle access. Upgrade to a private room for an additional $1525 per person.

All rooms are double occupancy. Individual rooms are available for an additional fee. If you wish to have a room to yourself, please contact the Trip Leader for complete information.

All trip participants MUST be KSOC or other Crescent Ski Council club members in good standing for the current membership year. Reservations are confirmed when membership to KSOC (or Crescent Ski Council club) is current for the trip year.

Travel Insurance: For Domestic trips, KSOC strongly encourages travelers to purchase Travel Insurance as it protects you if circumstances such as illness or covered family emergencies prevent you from going on the trip. This insurance also provides compensation for trip interruption, travel delay, missed connection, baggage & personal effects, sporting equipment delay, baggage delay, and emergency medical & dental expenses. If you opt out of travel insurance, you must pay in full when you register for the trip.

Cancellation Policy: All requests to cancel from a trip must be made in writing to the trip leader. There will be no refund in any amount from Knoxville Ski and Outing Club unless a replacement is found (either by the person cancelling or from a waiting list). The individual may be reimbursed for the trip up to the amount paid less any unrecoverable expenses from vendors.
