Knoxville Ski & Outing Club (KSOC)

Join us and you will find a welcoming organization where we come together to enjoy the camaraderie of outdoor activities and social gatherings. KSOC was founded in 1964 as a non-profit all volunteer organization and is dedicated to planning happy hours, holiday parties, distant ski and cultural destination trips. You can attend these events in the company of friends year after year. Once a member, you will be part of our parent organizations, Crescent Ski Council and the Ski Federation. There are 18 authorized clubs in the Southeast under Crescent Council, all of which plan trips and fun activities. The National Ski Federation consists of ski councils in the US and has approximately 300,000 memberships. We also participate in the Crescent Ski Council Race Series that encourages racers of all ages. There are lots of opportunities to join in and help. Don't miss out on the fun. Events

Events are planned throughout the year, from horse racing to bowling. Our events committee plans two to three activities that club members can sign up for and attend. Visit the Brushy Mountain prison, or maybe the Ancient Lore Village in South Knoxville. Hiking events with Tennessee Trails are planned throughout the year. Trips

KSOC plans trips throughout the year, focusing on distant trips around the world. Each year, trips are offered around skiing, snowboarding and other adventures. The distant and local trips committees plan ski trips for all levels of skiers and many trips have activities for non-skiers. From the Rocky Mountains to the Dolomites, each year, new and exciting locations are planned for KSOC travelers.

Racing

Knoxville Ski & Outings Club has a racing team open to all members, skiers and snowboarders, regardless of age or racing ability. The Club completes in the Crescent Ski Council Racing Series against our 18 sister Clubs throughout the southeast. The Racing season begins in early December and can last through March.

Happy Hours

Happy Hours are hosted every other Friday at a different venue. A focused effort is made to visit all parts of Knoxville and the surrounding areas. Happy Hours are a great way to meet members and find out about our upcoming events and trips. Check the Calendar for more dates and locations.
